Thank you to Thompson & Johnson Equipment for CAN-tributing to Something Bigger

For more than 70 years, Thompson & Johnson Equipment has been committed to helping businesses move efficiently, safely, and successfully. As one of the Northeast’s leading providers of material handling solutions, Thompson & Johnson supplies industry-leading forklifts, equipment, parts, service, rentals, and warehouse solutions to companies across New York and beyond.

But while moving materials is what we do, supporting the communities where we live and work has always been just as important.

Founded in 1954, Thompson & Johnson was built on a philosophy that success isn’t measured only by business growth, but also by the positive impact a company has on its employees, customers, and local communities. That mindset continues today under the leadership of President Dave Schneckenburger, whose focus on people, teamwork, and community involvement keeps those values strong throughout the organization.

At Thompson & Johnson, community support is more than something we talk about — it’s something we actively do. From local fundraisers and nonprofit partnerships to employee volunteerism and charitable donations, our team takes pride in giving back to the regions that have supported our company for decades.

That commitment is one of the many reasons we are proud to once again serve as an in-kind sponsor of CANstruction® in Albany.

This creative community event brings together organizations across the Capital Region with a shared goal of helping fight hunger. For Thompson & Johnson, it’s a natural fit. As a company that specializes in moving materials and supporting logistics operations every day, we’re excited to contribute in a way that plays to our strengths while helping make a meaningful impact.

Our team proudly supports the effort by donating canned goods to the Regional Food Bank and by providing equipment and volunteers for the event. “Our team enjoys being part of something that combines creativity, teamwork, and community impact,” said T&J President Dave Schneckenburger. “Knowing that every can will ultimately help feed someone in need makes the experience even more meaningful.”

Opportunities like CANstruction reflect the spirit of teamwork that Thompson & Johnson values so deeply. When businesses, volunteers, and community organizations work together, small contributions can quickly build into something powerful — much like the structures created from thousands of cans during the event.

At Thompson & Johnson Equipment, we’re proud to support initiatives like this because they remind us that strong communities are built the same way great businesses are: through collaboration, generosity, and people who are willing to lend a hand.

After all, when it comes to supporting our neighbors and helping fight hunger, we truly CAN make a difference together.
